MIAMI, FL- May 17, 2021- Asiya Khan joins the firm as a Summer Clerk for 2021. Bast Amron’s summer program is designed to provide an intellectually challenging and professionally gratifying experience for law students.
Asiya joins us from the University of Miami School of Law, where she participated in the John T. Gaubatz Moot Court competition. She is a Bankruptcy Law CALI Award Recipient and a Miami Law Student Ambassador. Asiya is also a member of the First-Generation Law Student Association, South Asian Law Student Association, Black Law Students Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, and a public interest mentor. Asiya is expected to graduate in 2022. Asiya graduated from the University of Florida, Gainesville, with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology.
Asiya was a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Becerra, U.S. District Court of Florida. She was also a law clerk for Judge A. Jay Cristol’s Bankruptcy Pro Bono Assistance Clinic.
Asiya is fluent in Hindi and Urdu, with basic knowledge of Spanish.
