MIAMI, FL– August 10, 2021- Bast Amron Special Counsel Brian Tannebaum was featured in a recent article by The Daily Business Review, “Law Student Gets Lesson in Sanctions as Florida Judge Moves to Discipline Him Over Litigation.” Brian talks to the DBR’s reporter Michael Mora about the merits of the case and why appearing pro se could be a problem, even if the litigant is a seasoned attorney facing his own ethics case.
“Anytime a client has a legal issue, it is obviously something that is personally affecting them,” Tannebaum, a legal ethics expert, said. “The lawyer’s only concern is how to take the case through the court system. Oftentimes, the pro se lawyer takes the position of ‘Let me go after the person who is bringing this case against me.’ And it never works.”
