MIAMI, FL– March 11, 2025 – Jacqueline Macia joins the firm as a Law Clerk for 2025. At Bast Amron, our law clerks play a vital role in supporting our attorneys while gaining practical experience in a dynamic legal environment. The clerkship provides hands-on training, exposure to complex legal matters, and valuable mentorship opportunities.
Jacqueline is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Miami School of Law, where she is the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Miami Law Review and a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. She has earned CALI Excellence Awards in Legal Communication & Research and serves as Dean’s Fellow for the same course. Jacqueline holds a magna cum laude Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Florida, where she was actively involved in leadership roles with Latin American Women in Business and Alpha Omicron Pi.
She gained legal experience as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Melissa Damian at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, conducting research and drafting memoranda on civil and criminal issues. Her background also includes nonprofit work with Style Saves, where she coordinated large-scale community events, and journalism experience with WUFT News, reporting on health, business, and immigration topics.
Fluent in Spanish, Jacqueline is passionate about legal research, writing, and advocacy. In her free time, she enjoys long-distance running, traveling, yoga, and fishing.
