MIAMI, FL – June 1, 2016 – Bast Amron is pleased to announce that attorney Hayley G. Harrison has been elected as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida. Harrison will serve a 1 year term beginning in July.
The Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida (BBASDFL) is the largest voluntary association of bankruptcy professionals in the Southern District of Florida. With hundreds of members, BBASDFL organizes events to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and sponsors initiatives to improve the bankruptcy system for the public. Harrison previously served for two years as co-chair of the Young Lawyers’ Committee for the BBASDFL.
Harrison concentrates her practices in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, and commercial litigation. She primarily represents bankruptcy trustees in their administration of Chapter 7 debtor cases, including all aspects of analyzing avenues of recovery, the sale of bankruptcy estate assets, and the pursuit of avoidance actions and other litigation claims. Harrison also advises debtors, secured and unsecured creditors and interested parties in relation to their rights in Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings and out of court proceedings. Harrison received a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, cum laude, and a B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin. She is recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Bankruptcy: Business.
