MIAMI, FL – May 24, 2023 – Bast Amron proudly announces that Bankruptcy attorney Jaime Leggett will serve as a 2023-2024 Director-At-Large of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida.
Jaime’s dedication to the bankruptcy field, community involvement, and commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion makes him a perfect fit for this role.
Since joining Bast Amron in Miami, Jaime has been an active member, from founding his law school’s Florida alumni group to serving on committees of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida.
Jaime’s goal in this position is to give back to the community, improve diversity, inclusion, and equity within the restructuring space, and ensure the BBA continues to provide a supportive platform for members to grow and enhance their bankruptcy knowledge.
The Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida (BBASDFL) is the largest voluntary association of bankruptcy professionals in the Southern District of Florida. With hundreds of members, the BBASDFL organizes events to assist lawyers and judges in their work and sponsors initiatives to improve the bankruptcy system for the public. About Jaime Leggett:
Jaime Leggett practices in the areas of bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation. His experience includes investigating and prosecuting director and officer liability claims; representing trustees, creditors, equity holders, and debtors in bankruptcy proceedings; federal and state court commercial litigation; and trials in federal, bankruptcy, and state courts nationwide.
Prior to joining the firm, Jaime worked for a firm in New York City, handling complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation. Previously to that firm, Jaime served as a law clerk to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Allan Gropper of the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Arthur Weissbrodt of the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California.
